A trip to Houston, Texas, to celebrate a 27th birthday ended in tragedy for a woman from Baltimore, Maryland. India Amara Thomas and her boyfriend were discovered shot to death in the early hours of February 28, 2026. Thomas, a mother with aspirations of becoming a nurse, was described by her loved ones as intelligent, humorous, and full of life.
The couple had traveled to Houston with a friend to celebrate Thomas's birthday.
Reports indicate that sometime during the night of February 27th, an argument and physical altercation occurred. Later, on the 9000 block of Radio Road, both Thomas and her boyfriend, a rapper known as Farrmunchy, were shot multiple times.
When officers from the Houston Police Department arrived at the scene, they found the man in the roadway and Thomas in a nearby ditch. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Friends and family remember Thomas as a devoted mother who brought laughter into any room she entered.
As of now, investigators with the HPD Homicide Division have not publicly identified any suspects in the double homicide. The investigation into the deaths of India Amara Thomas and her boyfriend is still ongoing, and authorities are asking for anyone with information to come forward. Her family is left mourning a life cut short and is still awaiting justice.
