In the evening hours of a Saturday in Northwest Baltimore, tragedy struck a community, leaving a lasting scar. On March 12, 2022, Darian Savoy, a 26-year-old male, was fatally shot in a violent encounter that also claimed the lives of two other young men. The incident unfolded near the intersection of Liberty Heights Avenue and Gwynn Oak Avenue, where police responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 8:20 p.m.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a grim scene: a vehicle
containing four men, all of whom had sustained gunshot wounds. Inside, Darian Savoy, along with 25-year-old Jawan Hall and 26-year-old Timothy Brown Jr., were found unresponsive. Despite the efforts of emergency medical personnel who transported them to local hospitals, all three men were pronounced dead. A fourth individual in the vehicle, a 73-year-old male, survived the attack with non-life-threatening injuries.
In the aftermath of the quadruple shooting, the Baltimore Police Department's homicide detectives launched an investigation into the triple homicide.
