Deaddrian Jamar Chapman, a 16-year-old from Oakland, California, was shot and killed on October 30, 2010, in East Oakland. The incident occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Ritchie Street near Sunnyside Street, a part of the city known for its high rates of gun violence. Chapman was rushed to Highland Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
