In what began as a welfare check at a Montoursville, Pennsylvania, apartment on the evening of February 10, 2026, a tragic and violent series of events unfolded, culminating in the death of 43-year-old Jonette Crossley. Concern arose when Crossley failed to show up for her job at a local restaurant. Montoursville police first visited her Jordan Avenue apartment around 8:20 p.m. and, receiving no answer, left. When they returned a short time later, they heard voices inside.
