In the early evening of December 30, 2025, the life of 24-year-old Lawrence Turner, a male resident of Brownsville, Brooklyn, was tragically cut short in a burst of violence outside a convenience store in Queens, New York. The fatal encounter unfolded at approximately 6:40 p.m. in front of the MB Convenience Deli & Grill on Beach 14th Street in Far Rockaway.
Reports indicate that an argument preceded the deadly shooting.
Following the dispute, an unidentified individual produced a firearm and shot Turner in the back and arm. The assailant then fled the scene, leaving Turner critically wounded. He was privately transported to St. John's Episcopal Hospital, but his injuries proved too severe, and he was pronounced deceased.
The New York Police Department is actively investigating the homicide. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Authorities have released a description of the suspect, who is believed to be a Hispanic male. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a black bubble jacket, gray jeans, and black-and-white Jordans sneakers.
