On June 24, 2013, 20-year-old Diamond Toler from Buffalo, New York, was tragically killed in a shooting. Toler was sitting in a vehicle near the corner of Stevens Avenue and East Ferry Street when Leron Bailey, then 36, fired several shots into the car. While the intended target, a man in the driver’s seat, survived his injuries after receiving medical treatment, Toler, who was seated in the back, was struck in the heart and died at the scene.
