In the early hours of a Friday morning in Buffalo, New York, 29-year-old Tyeisha Pettiford, a female resident of the city, was fatally shot. The incident, which also claimed the life of 37-year-old Shamel Parker, occurred on July 18, 2014. The two were sitting inside Pettiford's vehicle near the intersection of Sycamore Street and Jefferson Avenue when they were struck by gunfire.
