On a summer evening in a South Buffalo neighborhood, the life of 31-year-old Geneva Smith was tragically cut short. On June 20, 2018, Smith, a Black female, was fatally shot around 6:00 PM on Pomona Place. The Buffalo Police Department responded to the scene and confirmed her death.
