On the morning of January 16, 2026, a dispute at a Phoenix gas station ended in the tragic death of 52-year-old Danny Lyn Kaster. The incident occurred at a QuikTrip located near 44th Street and McDowell Road. Kaster, a man remembered by his family as someone who was always looking out for others, was waiting in line for the restroom when another man reportedly tried to cut in front of him.
