On December 1, 2025, the Muskegon, Michigan community was shaken by the discovery of 73-year-old African American resident Thomas Lee Stewart Sr. dead inside his home. First responders were dispatched to the residence in the 1400 block of Jiroch Street around 9:30 a.m. following reports of a male subject with a gunshot wound.
