On the afternoon of December 2, 2025, a violent incident unfolded in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood of Saint Louis, Missouri, drawing a significant police response to the 5800 block of St. Louis Avenue. Around 1:30 p.m., District 5 officers arrived at the scene following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Jamell Harlan, a 39-year-old male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
First responders acted quickly to transport the critically injured victim to a local hospital, where medical personnel worked to treat his severe injuries.
As authorities secured the scene, a dramatic development occurred regarding the potential suspect. St. Louis 911 received an emergency call from a 30-year-old individual who explicitly claimed to be the shooter involved in the incident.
