On the afternoon of May 19, 2025, Russell Redmond, age 43, was found shot in the 4300 block of St. Ferdinand Avenue in The Ville neighborhood of St. Louis. Officers from SLMPD’s Fifth District were dispatched just after 3 p.m.; they discovered the male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead at the scene.
