Jawon Deshawn Cooper, 27, male, was fatally shot on the night of July 17, 2025, in St. Louis' Walnut Park West neighborhood. Just before 10 p.m., ShotSpotter alerts drew officers to the 6000 blocks of Emma and Lucille Avenues. Not long after, police were notified that a gunshot victim connected to those alerts had been dropped off at a hospital, where Cooper was pronounced dead.
