In the early morning hours of December 6, 2025, a dispute in the parking lot of the Elks Lodge in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, turned deadly for 46-year-old Jeffrey Ballard. Ballard, who worked as a bouncer at the lodge, was attempting to intervene in an altercation involving his brother, Steffon Ballard, and another individual. The situation escalated when Steffon Ballard reportedly pulled out a handgun.
