On the evening of Thursday, December 11, 2025, a fatal shooting occurred in the Corona neighborhood of Queens, New York. Just before 8:40 p.m., officers from the 110th Precinct responded to emergency calls regarding an assault in front of the 108th Street Grocery, a bodega located at 57-18 108th Street. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered two individuals on the sidewalk who had been struck by gunfire.
One of the victims was identified as Oliver Nava, a 27-year-old male resident of Jackson Heights.
Nava was found in critical condition and was immediately rushed by Emergency Medical Services to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Despite medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The second victim, a 28-year-old man, suffered a gunshot wound to his left leg and was transported to Queens Hospital Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
