On the evening of May 29, 2015, in Syracuse, New York, a sequence of events unfolded that tragically ended the life of 25-year-old Charvin Turner. The Black or African American man was discovered inside a crashed vehicle on Salt Springs Road, not from injuries sustained in the collision, but from a gunshot wound to his chest. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but tragically, he did not survive.
