On a cold Christmas Eve in Syracuse, New York, the life of 19-year-old Mikere Rondinello was tragically cut short. On December 24, 2022, Rondinello, a male, was found with a gunshot wound to his upper torso in the vicinity of a residence on Richmond Avenue. Emergency services responded to the scene, and he was quickly transported to Upstate University Hospital.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead that same evening.
The Syracuse Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide, which led them to a suspect in early 2023. On February 7, 2023, authorities announced the arrest of 18-year-old Quess Williams in connection with the fatal shooting of Rondinello. At the time of his arrest, Williams was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
Following his arrest, Quess Williams was held at the Onondaga County Justice Center as he awaited arraignment.
