The investigation into the shooting led to the arrests of three men who authorities believed were all involved in the incident that resulted in James's death. The Onondaga County District Attorney's office brought charges against Anthony Rodriguez, then 23, Johannan Pizaro, 19 at the time, and Alberto Paneet, who was 22.
