In the fall of 2018, the life of a young Syracuse boy was tragically cut short, a victim of violence that erupted on a city street. Twelve-year-old James J. Springer III, a sixth-grader at Grant Middle School, was fatally shot in the stomach outside his home on the evening of October 10, 2018.
