On the early morning of December 22, 2025, a violent disturbance unfolded in the 7500 block of South Village Way near English and South Shadeland avenues in Indianapolis, Indiana. Just before 2:00 a.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of a person shot at the location. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a 36-year-old female, later identified as Ashley Yunya Yarrell, suffering from critical gunshot wounds. She was immediately transported to Eskenazi ...
