On November 19, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred on the near northwest side of Indianapolis, resulting in the deaths of 25-year-old Rosalba G. Torres Arceo and 22-year-old David Lee Swanigan. The incident took place shortly before 11 p.m. near the intersection of West 29th Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street at a gas station.
