Eleanor Ruth Cannon, a 20-year-old from Oak Harbor, Washington, was last seen on September 15, 2021. Her disappearance raised significant concern when a motorist reported seeing a woman matching her description on the Deception Pass Bridge in the early hours of September 16. The vehicle belonging to Cannon's parents was found parked nearby, but when authorities responded to the scene shortly after, they were unable to locate her.
