In the late summer of 2021, a 20-year-old woman named Eleanor Ruth Cannon disappeared from Oak Harbor, Washington. She was last seen on September 15th of that year. Eleanor, with her red hair and blue eyes, was a young woman with several distinct tattoos, including Roman numerals on her right forearm, a Czech word on her collarbone, and a Scorpio symbol behind her ear.

The initial investigation began in the early morning hours of September 16, 2021, when a vehicle belonging to Eleanor's parents was discovered abandoned at Deception Pass Bridge. The following day, detectives expanded the search, hiking the trails in the area in hopes of finding any sign of Eleanor, but again, nothing was found.
