On a Friday evening in Baltimore, the life of 33-year-old Jaquan Vastion, a Black male, came to a violent end. It was shortly after 11 p.m. on November 7, 2025, when police were dispatched to the 3100 block of W. North Avenue to check on his welfare. The call led officers to a grim discovery.
Authorities found Vastion suffering from a gunshot wound. Initial reports indicated he was located in the rear alley of a residence on the block.
Emergency medical personnel transported him to an area hospital in an effort to save his life, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced deceased by medical professionals.
Homicide detectives with the Baltimore Police Department immediately took charge of the case, beginning an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. As of now, the investigation remains active and ongoing. Authorities have not publicly identified any suspects in connection with the fatal shooting, and no arrests have been made. A reward of up to $8,000 has been offered to the public for any information that leads to an arrest and closure for Vastion's family and community. Detectives continue to seek information from anyone who may have knowledge of the incident.
