On a summer evening in Baltimore, Maryland, the life of 24-year-old Chianti Barber, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short on August 7, 2019. He was a victim of the pervasive gun violence that gripped the city, his death marking one of more than 300 homicides that year. The attack, in which he was shot multiple times, appeared to be targeted.
