James Jamal Herbert, age 25, was found shot to death on February 29, 2016, in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident occurred inside a vacant home located in the 2800 block of West Lafayette Avenue. Police responded to the discovery of Herbert's body at around 5:30 p.m. The investigation into his death was hindered by a lack of leads and limited cooperation from potential witnesses, which is a recurring issue in Baltimore's homicide cases.
