On February 10, 2023, at approximately 8:58 a.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 4100 block of Eierman Avenue in Northeast Baltimore. Upon arrival, they discovered 44-year-old Melvin Cummings suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Cummings was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.
