In the early evening of November 10, 2025, the life of 34-year-old Markel Alexander Cephas of Chester, Virginia, was tragically cut short in a residential neighborhood in Virginia Beach. Emergency services received a call at approximately 5:25 p.m. reporting a person with a gunshot wound in the 900 block of Thousand Oaks Drive.
