In the evening hours of a Wednesday in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the life of 22-year-old Amari Hodges was tragically cut short. On November 12, 2025, police responded to the intersection of Kalamazoo Avenue and Hall Street on the city's southeast side, where a car had struck and knocked over a light pole.
