In the small town of Topeka, Indiana, a quiet autumn day was shattered by a grim discovery that left a community in shock. Concerns grew for 70-year-old Deonicia Marroquin Flores, a White/Caucasian female, when neighbors were unable to reach her. On Saturday, October 25, 2025, the LaGrange County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to her residence on South State Road 5 to conduct a welfare check. Upon arrival, deputies found the home secured and received no answer from within.
