In the late hours of a Thursday night in south Phoenix, the life of 21-year-old Angel Rodriguez Tapia was tragically cut short. On October 30, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Phoenix police officers were dispatched to the area of 41st Avenue and Tonto Street after receiving a call about shots being fired. Upon their arrival, they discovered a grim scene.
Angel Rodriguez Tapia was found with at least one gunshot wound.
Emergency services were unable to save him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Phoenix Police Department's Homicide Detectives promptly took over the investigation into the fatal shooting.
