In the pre-dawn hours of an October morning in Phoenix, Arizona, the quiet of the neighborhood around 37th Drive and McDowell Road was broken by a discovery that would launch a homicide investigation. On October 4, 2025, just before 2:30 a.m., police responded to reports of an injured person and found a man lying in the roadway.
