In the quiet town of Calhoun City, Mississippi, a sense of unease settled over the community following the violent death of 38-year-old Matthew Morgan. On the evening of Tuesday, October 7, 2025, police officers were dispatched to a residence on East Wells Avenue. Inside the home, they discovered Morgan, who had sustained what appeared to be a fatal gunshot wound.
