Scott Bartlett, 42, a white male, was found shot inside a home on the 1200 block of Lillius Street in north Abilene late on October 15, 2025. Officers were dispatched a little after 11 p.m., rendered aid, and moved him to Hendrick Medical Center, where he died shortly after arrival. Police initially withheld his identity until the next day, when they confirmed he was the victim; the department asked the public for tips as detectives worked the case.
