On a quiet Sunday evening in Milwaukee, the life of 64-year-old Black male Marcus Smith was tragically cut short. On October 19, 2025, as he was walking down a sidewalk on the city's north side, the night was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Smith was in the vicinity of North 27th Street and West Atkinson Avenue shortly after 9 p.m. when the fatal shooting occurred.
