Anthony Scott, 64, a Black/African American man, was found shot to death inside a home in Willis, Texas, in the predawn hours of August 2, 2025. Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Willis Police Department had been dispatched around 4:20 a.m. for a welfare check to a residence in the 500 block of East Marlin Street.
