In the pre-dawn hours of July 22, 2025, the quiet of a Madison, Wisconsin neighborhood was broken by the discovery of a gravely wounded man. Lee F. Scott, a 30-year-old male, was found lying outside an apartment building on the 2100 block of Schlimgen Avenue on the city's North Side just after 4 a.m. An Uber driver, starting their early morning shift, spotted him on the ground and immediately called 911.
