A celebration of life turned into a scene of tragedy on the night of his 21st birthday for Jose Calderon. The young Hispanic/Latino man was fatally shot in Kent, Washington, during the early hours of June 7, 2025, at a residence on the West Hill where he was celebrating his milestone birthday. The King County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed that Jose Calderon's death was a homicide caused by a gunshot wound to the torso.
