A quiet evening in a Woodbridge, Virginia, home was shattered by deadly violence that claimed the life of Souksavanh Inthilat, a 42-year-old man. The tragic events unfolded inside a residence on Kenmar Drive on the evening of Thursday, July 31, 2025, following what police described as a heated verbal argument among family members. In the wake of the dispute, shots were fired, leaving two people with gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.
When Prince William County Police officers arrived at the home around 5:42 p.m., they discovered Souksavanh Inthilat, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, a 70-year-old woman identified as his mother, Phetsameone Khampheng, was found critically injured and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The alleged gunman, 56-year-old Khampheng Toune Quanlangsy, was found waiting outside the house and was taken into custody by the officers without any resistance.
The investigation that followed suggested that the shooting was the culmination of a domestic dispute. Investigators recovered a firearm from inside the home. Following his arrest, Khampheng Toune Quanlangsy was charged with murder, aggravated malicious wounding, and two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
