Lamarion Baptist, 19, a Black male, was killed in a shooting in Farmville, North Carolina, on the night of May 12, 2025. Police were called to a home on West Moore Street around 10 p.m., where responding officers found two men wounded by gunfire; one was pronounced dead at the scene. The Farmville police chief later identified the victim as Lamarion Baptist of Farmville and noted that he did not live at the home where the shooting occurred. A second victim, 20-year-old Zymeir Williams, was taken to ECU Health Medical Center, treated, and later released.

Authorities said detectives were working closely with the Pitt County District Attorney's Office and were following up on leads. As of the week after the shooting, no arrests had been made and no suspects publicly named. The investigation remained active as officers continued gathering information.

Family memorial materials list Baptist's date of birth as September 20, 2005, and record his death on Monday, May 12, 2025, in his hometown of Farmville. Services were held later that month at Salvation & Praise Full Gospel Church.
