Officers were dispatched at approximately 4:12 p.m. to the restaurant lot, where the Tarrant County Medical Examiner later identified Jenny Rosales, 18, as the victim, noting a gunshot wound to the chest. The scene, ordinary moments earlier with drivers attempting to sort out a fender-bender, turned chaotic as people tried to understand how a minor collision had ended with Jenny Rosales, 18, a female, lying mortally wounded on the pavement.
Detectives say the suspected shooter, identified as 47-year-old Laterica Johnson, left the parking lot but soon called 911, waited for officers at a separate location, and was taken into custody. Investigators recovered a firearm from her vehicle. According to police and local reports, Laterica Johnson was booked into the Tarrant County Jail on a murder charge in connection with the death of Jenny Rosales, 18, a female. The investigation remains ongoing.
