On September 16, 2016, 81-year-old Carl Edwin Fleece was found deceased in his Fort Worth, Texas, home. Initially reported as a suicide by his son, Martin Craig Fleece, further investigation by the Fort Worth Police Department revealed inconsistencies in the account. Authorities determined that Carl Fleece had been fatally shot by his son, who then misled family members about the circumstances.
