Derwin Darnell Joseph Matthews Jr., 31, a male and Black/African American, was shot just after 2:30 a.m. on June 2, 2025, in an alley off the 200 block of South Camac Street in Philadelphia’s Center City, hours after the city’s Pride March and Festival had concluded in the nearby Gayborhood.
