In a quiet Clarksville, Tennessee subdivision, a grim discovery was made on the afternoon of September 16, 2025. Inside a home on Idlewood Drive, across from the Swan Lake Golf Course, police found the bodies of 74-year-old Kathryn Ann Powers, her 75-year-old husband, Scott Powers, and their 48-year-old son, Michael Powers. the result of a double homicide and suicide.

His criminal record also included more recent arrests for theft and criminal trespass.
