Ebonee McNiel, 35, a Black / African American woman, was found shot to death around midday on July 2, 2025, inside a southeast Charlotte townhome off Village Lake Drive, along Pebblestone Drive in the Independence Division. First responders with Medic pronounced two people dead at the scene, and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said the investigation began with an assault-with-a-deadly-weapon call just after noon.
