Osha C. Copeland, a 23-year-old Black male, was shot on the evening of August 15, 2025, in West York Borough, York County. Police were called to the area of Highland Avenue outside the Carriage Apartments, where two people had been struck by gunfire. Copeland suffered multiple wounds, including injuries to his left hand, wrist, and chest, and he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter at a nearby hospital. The York County Coroner ruled his death a homicide.
