Bryan K. Morris Jr., 40, a Black man from Columbus, Ohio, was shot in the early morning hours of August 8, 2025, near North High Street and Duncan Street in Old North Columbus. Officers responding around 2:26 a.m. found him unresponsive; he was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
