Bryan K. Morris Jr., 40, a Black man from Columbus, Ohio, was shot in the early morning hours of August 8, 2025, near North High Street and Duncan Street in Old North Columbus. Officers responding around 2:26 a.m. found him unresponsive; he was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The initial police report identified him as the victim and recorded his age, sex, race, and the time and location of the shooting.
