Kaylian T. Redd, a 20-year-old Black male, tragically lost his life on July 29, 2021, in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred around 1:42 a.m. when officers were dispatched to the area of 1435 N. Cassady Avenue on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Redd suffering from a gunshot wound in the grass area at Airport Drive and N. Cassady Avenue.
