On March 16, 2012, Maurice Roberts, age 36, was shot and killed while visiting a friend on Cordell Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. During the incident, another individual named Donald Smith was also wounded. Maurice Roberts' death was a result of gun violence in the city, and his homicide was investigated by the Columbus Police Department.
