In a tragic turn of events during Tulsa's Juneteenth festival, 22-year-old Isaiah Knight, a Black male, was fatally shot on the night of June 21, 2025. The celebration in the historic Greenwood district descended into chaos around 11 p.m. when gunfire erupted near an overpass, sending attendees scrambling for safety.
