Do you know who murdered Kevin? In May of 1996, a night out with friends in Tulsa, Oklahoma, ended in tragedy for 23-year-old Kevin Huey. While at a venue known as the Genesis Club, located near 21st and Garnett, a dispute broke out which led to gunfire. Huey was struck by the gunshots and his friends rushed him to a local hospital for medical attention.
Despite their efforts, Kevin Huey succumbed to his injuries and passed away on May 5, 1996.
Investigators with the Tulsa Police Department believe the altercation that led to the fatal shooting was gang-related. Within a few days of the incident, an arrest was made in connection to Huey's murder.
However, the path to justice took an unfortunate turn when the case against the suspect fell apart. The prosecution's key witnesses reportedly did not appear for the trial, leading to the collapse of the case. As a result, the individual who was once a suspect in Kevin Huey's death was set free, and the murder remains an unsolved cold case.
