The body of 39-year-old Timothy Lee Warren, a Caucasian male, was found with two gunshot wounds to his head, the result of a. 22 caliber revolver. His clothing was in disarray, with his pants wrapped around his thighs, though there were no other immediate signs of a struggle at the scene.
Investigators began to piece together the events leading to
his death. Several hours after his body was found, Warren's vehicle was located approximately 25 miles away, near Claremore Lake. The police believe that Warren may have been lured to Mohawk Park under false pretenses. The park was known at the time as a 'cruising' location, a place where people would go to meet for casual encounters. It is theorized that he was shot at a different location within the park and then moved to the creek where he was ultimately found.
